What personal information Sustainability collects, why, and the choices you have.
Template — review before you rely on it. This privacy policy was generated from a starting template for Sustainability. It is not legal advice. Read it, replace everything in [square brackets], make sure it describes how you actually operate, and have it checked against the law where you and your learners are. Delete this note when you are done.
Effective date: October 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sustainability (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit this website, create an account, take a course, attend a live session or buy from us. In short: we collect what we need to run your account and your courses, we never sell it, and you can see, export or delete it whenever you like.
Sustainability is responsible for (“controls”) the personal information described here. You can reach us about anything in this policy at any time — email us at shrivastavasherry@gmail.com or use our contact form. Our postal address is [registered business address].
Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash, never in readable form).
Profile details you choose to add, such as a photo, a headline or a short bio.
Purchases: what you bought, when, the price, any discount code and your billing country. Card and bank details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store them.
What you send or post: messages through our contact form, questions and replies in discussions, course reviews, quiz answers and assignment submissions.
Forms and sign-ups such as enquiries, applications or newsletter subscriptions.
Learning activity: lessons started and completed, time spent, quiz attempts and scores, notes, bookmarks, attendance at live sessions and the certificates you earn — so we can show your progress and prove what you have completed.
Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, recorded in our server logs and in our own first-party usage statistics.
Cookies that keep you signed in and remember your preferences — see our Cookie Policy.
Our payment provider tells us whether a payment succeeded, was refunded or disputed. If your employer or another organisation enrols you, they may give us your name and email address.
To create and run your account, and to give you access to the courses and sessions you enrol in.
To track your progress, mark your work, and issue and verify certificates.
To process payments, refunds and invoices, and to keep the records tax law requires.
To send service emails: receipts, password resets, course updates, reminders and replies to your messages.
To send news and offers — only if you have opted in, and every such email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
To keep the academy secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
To understand, in aggregate, how courses are used so we can improve them.
Where data-protection law (such as the GDPR or UK GDPR) applies, we rely on: contract — to provide the account, courses and purchases you ask for; legitimate interests — to keep the service secure and improve it, in ways you would reasonably expect; legal obligation — to keep financial records; and consent — for marketing email and any optional cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.
We never sell your personal information or share it with advertisers or data brokers. We share it only with:
Service providers who run parts of the academy for us under contract — hosting and storage, payment processing [e.g. Stripe or Razorpay], email delivery [your email provider] and video hosting [if you use one]. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
Instructors of the courses you take, who see your name, progress and submissions for those courses.
Other learners, only for what you choose to post publicly, such as a review or a discussion reply.
Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our learners and others.
A buyer or successor, if the academy is sold or merged — with this policy continuing to apply.
Our providers may process information outside your country. Where they do, we rely on safeguards the law recognises, such as standard contractual clauses, so your information stays protected to the same standard. [List the main countries or regions involved if you know them.]
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires — usually [six to ten] years. If you delete your account we remove your profile and learning history within [30] days, except where we must keep something by law. Certificates already issued keep a minimal verification record (your name, the course and the date) so they can still be checked.
Connections to the academy are encrypted, passwords are stored as one-way hashes, payment details never touch our servers, and access to personal information is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever put your information at risk we would tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
access the personal information we hold about you, and get a copy in a portable format;
correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete;
delete your account and information;
object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
withdraw consent at any time, for anything we do on the basis of consent; and
complain to your data-protection authority.
You can update your details and delete your account from your account settings. For anything else, email us at shrivastavasherry@gmail.com or use our contact form. We will answer within one month, and we may ask you to confirm your identity first.
We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Our Cookie Policy lists them and explains how to control them.
Sustainability is not intended for children under 16 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information without that consent, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email registered learners before the change takes effect and update the effective date above. Earlier versions are available on request.
Questions about this policy or your information? Please email us at shrivastavasherry@gmail.com or use our contact form. We aim to reply within two working days.
